Virtual Offerings for Families

St. Michael’s Church is now offering several virtual events for children and families via our Facebook page:

Children’s Chapel, led by Father Andrew, is held every Sunday morning from 11:00am to 11:15am. Father Andrew reads a Bible story and offers short prayers.

Bedtime Stories and Bedtime Prayers, led by education director Kelley Callahan, is held every Wednesday evening starting at 7:00 PM. Appropriate for K-5.

For families who are missing out on rites of passage like moving up ceremonies and graduation, Presiding Bishop Michael Curry has shared a homily for graduation.

The Episcopal Church has also compiled a list of resources for celebrating and recognizing graduations in this time of social distancing.

For families who are looking for a way to give back and support the community and the world during this time of crisis, we recommend spending some time on DoSomething.org. There are thoughtful and accessible service projects for pre-teens, teenagers, and young adults to work on with their friends and families - even in this time of social distancing!

And don’t forget to keep in touch! We want to know how your family is doing. We’re now offering the St. Michael’s Grapevine (Tuesdays) and St. Michael’s Community Spotlight (Thursdays). These two weekly newsletters offer a brief update on several parishioners/families (the Grapevine) and a more detailed update on one household in particular (the Spotlight). Use this form to submit your quick status-check to Kelley Callahan for the Grapevine, or email Father Andrew if you would like to share a longer update with the community in the Spotlight!
