About the Thrift Shop
The Thrift Shop opened in 1939 to raise funds for a new parish hall. Women from St. Catherine’s Guild provided a loan, organized volunteers and opened in just over a month at 225 Washington Street! Since then the shop has moved several times, most recently from 70 Washington Street to the Davenport House in 2009. Thrift Shop funds provided the down payments for the church to purchase the Davenport House and Murray House in the early 1950s, and paid off the mortgage for the 1964 Parish Hall in 1980. Since then, funds have used for restoration, organ repairs, sound equipment, lighting, general operations, and most recently for a new altar frontal for the season of Pentecost. Today, men and women can be found volunteering at the shop.

Drop by the Thrift Shop and have a look around. Buy something if you like, or donate an object from home. And please be sure to leave your contact information if you can volunteer!
